Compact Farmall A Family
Get Back to Basics with a Reliable, Simple, and Versatile Tractor.
Case IH compact Farmall A series tractors are rugged, reliable machines that are ready tackle tough chores. With many standard features and numerous available options, these tractors are easy to operate, allowing you to complete those everyday chores without hassle.
Engine
Power Through Every Job
A turbocharged, 3-cylinder, 1.9-L engine delivers increased power to the Compact Farmall A series tractor lineup. Models range from 32 to 36 hp (28-34 PTO hp). These engines also provide greater displacement and up to 20 percent greater torque output over previous models.
Common Rail Direct Injection
The latest fuel-injection technology offers several advantages, including improved power performance, increased efficiency and cleaner emissions.
Tier 4 B/Final Compliant
Engines use an internal Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system to meet Tier 4 B/Final requirements. A 50-hour Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) regeneration interval helps you get your work done without interruption.
Transmission
Transmission Options To Meet Your Needs
Choose the standard mechanical shuttle or the popular 3-range hydrostatic option.
Mechanical Shuttle With Synchro Shift
The standard shuttle transmission features 12x12 (three nonsynchronized ranges, four nonsynchronized speeds).
Hydrostatic Transmission
A 3-range hydrostatic transmission is available on both models. Featuring simple, 2-pedal operation and infinite ground speeds, the hydrostatic transmission is an excellent choice for loader work and mowing around obstacles, such as outbuildings and fences, or any task requiring frequent directional and speed changes.
Operator Environment
Everyday Chores Seem Less Like Work
The idea behind owning a compact tractor is to make work easier. Staying comfortable goes a long way toward that goal — and that’s exactly how we designed the Compact Farmall A series tractors.
Comfort
Operator’s Platform: Wide steps and a large, semi-straddle operator’s platform provide easy access and exit. The steel platform is stamped for proper grip, while easily allowing it to drain water and debris.
Hand and Foot Throttles: Hand and foot throttles on Compact Farmall A series tractors let you pick what’s most comfortable for you or for the given task. A cruise control feature — similar to operating a car or pick up — eases operator fatigue.
Adjustable Suspension Seat: A comfortable seat can help you see the day’s projects through to the finish. The adjustable seat lets you customize your comfort and tilts forward to help it stay dry and clean.
Convenience
Constant Engine Speed Button: For tasks that require a steady engine rpm regardless of load or ground speed, such as powering a spray pump or other PTO-driven implements, a flip of the CES button holds engine rpm at the speed you select. This prevents engine racing or dragging and provides consistency, whether you’re controlling weeds along the driveway or around outbuildings or mowing rugged terrain.
Factory-installed Loader Joystick: A loader turns your tractor into a versatile, powerful workhorse. Our loader joystick comes standard from the factory and is integrated into the right-hand console for easier operation and greater productivity.
Easy Access: All controls and levers are within easy reach from the comfort of the tractor seat. PTO engagement is located on the right side of the dash. The switch bank is centrally located just below the steering wheel, and the hydraulic remote levers and three-point position controls are conveniently located on the right-hand side of the seat.
Visibility
Freedom to Operate: The large operator’s platform is obstacle-free for excellent all-around visibility from the tractor seat.
Looking Ahead: The stylish, sloped hood on Farmall series tractors provides clear, unobstructed forward sightlines to the front wheels, loader and other mid- and front-mount attachments.
Instrumentation: Well-placed controls and the design of the instrumentation dash provide easy access without inhibiting visibility. An automotive-style instrument cluster makes operation easy and familiar.
